We live in Minnesota, and we love all our city has to offer: great museums, great theaters, professional sports, all different kinds of people, lots of career opportunities. We also love our little neighborhood. We love that our neighbors look out for one another. We love the lake and creek that are both only a block away. In warmer months we run, walk, and bike the trail along the creek, and watch sunsets over the lake. In the winter we bring our sleds to the hill at the park and race to the bottom.
Our home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms (we’re pretty sure that second bathroom will really come in handy in the teenage years!). We have a big dining room and living room and we can’t wait to host family gatherings with Baby’s cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents!
How we live
We value community service and working together to make our world better for everyone. We volunteer our time and donate money when we can to the causes we care most about. We also value teamwork, and we face all of life’s challenges, big or small, together as a united front.

Our dreams for Baby
We are so excited to bring children to our family. Amanda can’t wait to shoot hoops or kick around a soccer ball with our child. Laura envisions snuggling up for family movie night and baking cookies together for school bake sales.
We place a high value on education in our family. We consider ourselves lifelong learners, and hope we can instill that same curiosity in our children. We can’t wait to start reading to our child when he or she is young. In a few years, we hope our child will take piano lessons, because music is such a wonderful thing for brain development, but also for the soul! We plan to take a very active role in our child’s education.
When we picture a baby joining our family, we see a little guy or gal that gets hugged a lot! Someone who will grow up in a world where we care for our neighbors like we do our family. Someone who enjoys being outside, experiencing all that life has to offer! Someone who likes to play board games as much as we do. Someone who is interested in how they can make a greater impact on the world around them and is willing to go out on a limb sometimes to make those greater things happen. We picture a baby who we will love beyond any measure, one we will care for beyond any question, and one we will support beyond any obstacle. We see a baby who will be exactly who he or she is meant to be in this world and we would be grateful to be invited on the ride!
